Busybooklover's brain candy

Bookcrosser, mom of 2 (2nd one just started kinderG)... Fairy-tale loving, formerly coffee-addicted, chocolate-dependant. A fan of both PSYCH & Dead Zone. WARNING: blogger admittedly has been exposed to too many Barney, Blues Clues and Dora Episodes to sustain an entirely adult conversation. Consider yourself warned. Random spatterings of Spongebob, Dora-isms and the occasional Polly pocket-induced rage WILL find its way into this blog.... eventually.

Had to join to post a "comment" So here I am blah blah blah.

That heavy breathing you can't hear, but that is my constant background- is my DOG, Sydney-- our Australian Sheperd... BEGGING me to throw the frisbee. She is perpetually waiting at my side (next to our sliding glass door) hoping desperately that I will throw this slimy thing, or some equally slobbered on woobie. I'm having a cup of coffee-- relaxing before I have to pick up the "BIG girl" from KINDERGARTEN! This is her third day. Welll- TECHNICALLY it is only PRE-K. (pre-kindergarten) Practice.. a trial run... for the "esl language", "cusp" birthday kids, or, in our case for the green naive, NEVER been in day care, preschool or even at babysitters. She is quite the "virginal" kindergartner. She is VERY bright and will probably be bored in no time, but so far (3 days in) she LOVES school. Her main concern before school on the first day was "Mommy, what if some boy wants to marry me and I don't want to marry him?" ("Yes, dear you are incredibally irresistable, however-- BOYS your age are IMMUNE to your ravishing beauty." I think to myself laughing at her princess-skewed perception of her world-to-be.) She was QUITE relieved to discover that although at first she THOUGHT she might marry a boy named "Eric", she changed her mind. (What could he POSSIBLY have done to dissuade her???!!!) LOL! Apparently there are TWO ERIC's AND an ERICA... SO, that seems to be quite the name to have this year.

Daughter number two (twenty months behind) came along to drop off daughter one this morning and boy was THAT a rude awakening for her. She'd been able to stay home with daddy on the first two days. NOW, it seems (at the wise age of 3) SHE is ready for Kindergarten, or at least the playground equipment that we could see while we were her dropping her big sister off. (Boo Hoo!) Needless to say, We drove away to her sobbing "please, PLEASE, PLEEEASE!". I can see we are going to need to have some attractive distractors in the ready for future drop off's. Well, I'm done for now.

ROFL too funny but then you are the funny one :) And your daughters are beautiful so you do have a legitimate worry.
